"It's Tuxedo Time!"
You have to say it like "It's t-shirrrrtt tiiimmme!" I'm sorry, i'm addicted to that hot mess of a show!
I am super excited to talk about what the boys will be decked out in! From the beginning it just wasn't practical to ask the groomsmen to buy a suit for the wedding. Some of them own one already, but they don't match each others and I don't think all of them are fitted. It would be just too much of a financial burden to find a suit and ask all of them to buy it. So tuxedo route it is!
We ventured over to Men's Warehouse the other weekend to look at their selection. We were not too happy with their customer service (there was about 15 people working..I use the term "working" lightly, since almost all of them were throwing a football around while the customers walked aimlessly around), we were greeted and shown where to go when we walked in, but the women who was showing us the book of tuxes seemed like she could care less. But being in an area where we don't have a very wide selection of tux rental places, and we at least know the quality of their products are good, we stuck with it. (Trust me, in any other situation I would have been out of there)
We brought along groomsmen Mark with us to help choose. They found a tux right away that they liked. The Ralph Lauren Stripe Three-Button Super 100s Notch Lapel.
Since our colors are a combination of dark purple, lilac, and silver, and the girls will be wearing dark purple dresses, we decided to do the same for the groomsmen. So they will be wearing the Tuscany vest in Regency.
To make Kev stand out from the groomsmen, he will actually be wearing the same style vest but in Silver. (The same as in the tux picture)
To give him a little element of purple, we will be purchasing a tie that has both silver and purple in it. Something similar to this tie.
He and the groomsmen will then have the same shirt:
Cufflinks:
And shoes:
My dad, grandfather, and Kevin's dad and grandfather will also we renting tuxes. I'm not sure if we will have them rent the same pin stripe suit, or the solid Ralph Lauren one.
Then to offset them from the groom and groomsmen, they will have either white or black vests, but still in the Tuscany style.
Did anyone else rent tuxes from Mens Warehouse? How was the service?
