Flowers and Herbs

I just created a final run through of our invites last night....I swear I will reveal them soon...and was thinking about postage. I really have my heart set on using the Love pansy stamps, they are purple and would work perfect with our silver envelopes.

So once I have a run through printed on cardstock I can take our suite to the post office and see how much it ways, and determine what kind of postage I need. What I do know is that we are going to need postcard stamps for our responses.

And although the polar bear stamps are cute...they don't go with our theme.

So while perusing the Post Office's website, I came across the new 29 cent postcard stamps that will be coming out on April 7! Say hello to herbs everyone!

I don't know why there is such a big white space around it....sorry!

These will work...especially the cards that are lucky enough to get the lavender stamps. So this kind of worked out in my favor, since we are planning to send the invites out beginning of May. Just one less detail I have to worry about!

Did any other little thing fall into place for anyone?

New Wedding Stamp

The Post Office is releasing a new wedding stamp this year to its collection. Right now there are only two wedding based stamps to choose from:

The 44 cent rings

And the 61 cent wedding cake

The new stamp is a forever stamp, that regardless of how much you pay for it will be good even when the price of stamps goes up:

Also, starting April 17, 2011, there will be new prices enforced for mail service. The price to ship a one ounce first class letter will remain 44 cents, but additional ounces will increase to 20 cents. So maybe a new 64 cent wedding stamp in the making?

The price of postcard stamps will also increase one cent to 29 cents. So who know what will happen to the infamous polar bear?

Pixar Stamps!

The post office announced about a month ago that they will be issuing pixar themed stamps in August 2011.

There will be panes of 20 with 5 different movies featured: Lightning McQueen and Mater from Cars, Buzz Lightyear and two aliens from Toy Story, Linguini and Remy the Rat from Ratatouille, Carl Fredricksen and Dug from Up, and lovable robot Wall*E from the film of the same name.

They are so cute! Maybe I will wait until August to send my Wedding thank you's just so I can grab some up!

Personalized Rubber Stamp

Yes, not an original title I know. But this stamp will speak for itself. Thinking about all the paper products that a wedding brings with it, rsvp cards, save the dates, invitations, thank yous, and the daunting task of hand writing return address on all of them was terrifying! So we took the easy way out and ordered a stamp. I wanted something similar to the style of what I imagined our invited to be. I wanted the font to have a little bit of swirl and fun to them with a modern twist. I stumbled across Etsy seller lovetocreatestamps and was sold!

For being custom made it sure did come quick! And it is gorgeous, I just love wood handled mounted stamps!

Sorry for the horribleness that is me trying to take out our address...it just isn't as pretty without it.

Did anyone else go the stamp route? Or are you printing return addresses? Hand writing?
